Country of Origin: Australia
Frilled Dragons are native to Australia and take their name from the large frill around their neck. The frill is supported by long strips of cartilage attached to the jaw bone and when frightened, Frilled Dragons will open their mouths and extend their frill in an impressive display.
They are primarily arboreal and spend much of their time in tress in savannah woodlands and only venture to the floor to hunt for food. They are a relatively large member of the agamid family and grow to a length of more than 85cm.
